James is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who completed his training at Texas Wesleyan University in 2014. He worked as an RN in the ICU for 3 years before CRNA training. Emily has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Southern Arkansas University. She has 4 years of teaching experience in various grade levels and subjects. We have three beautiful children: Gavin (19), Tatum (11), and Ezra Rose (7).
God has been preparing us individually, and as a family, for this journey for many years. James has taken several short-term medical mission trips and has always had a desire to serve more. We had discussed long term missions many times as a “one day” dream but logistically did not know how or when it would happen. In 2023, we were asked by a friend to consider praying about being full time in medical ministry in Honduras because the need is so great. God’s timing is always perfect, and we said yes. James, Emily, Tatum and Ezra spent most of the 2025 year in full time language school in Honduras. While plans have changed and they will no longer be serving in Honduras; God has answered the prayer and opened the door for full time ministry in México. They will be making the move to Mexico in early 2026 to be a part of Mexico Medical Mission. James will be providing anesthesia at Hospital Mission Tarahumara and Emily will be available to the elementary missionary children. We are grateful to be used by God in this way and are excited about this journey.
